This 20 tooth pinion gear has a ¼” bore to fit on a ¼” round or D-profile shaft. When installed on a ¼” D-shaft, the M5 x 0.8mm set-screw tightens down onto the flat side of the shaft for an excellent hold.
The built-in shim allows this gear to run directly against a ¼” ID bearing without contacting the outer race.
