Pan & Tilt Kits
Open Loop
Open loop means that your controller will allow you to adjust the speed and direction that the device rotates. When using a joystick, an open loop pan and tilt will move faster the further the joystick is pushed – much like a gas pedal on a car..
Closed Loop
Closed loop means that your controller will determine the position of the device. This means that if you’re using a controller with a knob, when you turn the knob, the servo that it is driving will rotate to the spot that the controller has called it to go to, and stop when it gets there. It will remain in that position until a new input is received from the controller.
